Peter Maynard

Peter is a solicitor with particular expertise in all aspects of personal injury litigation. He has also recently developed a growing practise in penalty charges litigation helping individuals and business recover penalty charges on bank accounts, credit card accounts and loan accounts.

Peter has been qualified for almost 20 years and in that time has worked in Bristol, Cardiff and Newport. Before joining Fwdlaw as a consultant, Peter was a partner and Head of Claimant Personal Injury at Leo Abse and Cohen.

In personal injury work, Peter has covered straight forward road traffic accidents, pavement tripping claims and a large amount of work related accident cases. He has dealt with injuries ranging form minor cuts and bruises to catastrophic head and spinal injuries. He has extensive knowledge of funding personal injury litigation. He is a member of the Law Society Personal Injury Panel.

As well as advising clients, Peter had considerable experience of running a busy department numbering up to 25 staff over 3 sites, with all the attendant budgetary, HR training and management issues which arise.

Now a part time consultant with Fwdlaw, Peter has other business interests and is also a company director.

Peter lives near Chepstow with his wife (another solicitor!!) and their 1 year old son Henry who basically rules the roost. Peter wonders what he did with all the spare time he clearly had before Henry arrived.
