James Ross Lancaster LL.B. LL.M.

James obtained his bachelor and master of laws in London and Cardiff before obtaining his Diploma of Legal Practice at The College of Law in Chester. He was admitted to the Rolls as a solicitor in 1999.

Between 1993 to 1996, he was jointly engaged by the Citizen’s Advice Bureau (CAB) and the Home Office as a qualified legal adviser and staff trainer. He later developed and managed two CAB offices in Hampshire between 1996 to 1998.

He has since advised on the Miner’s Respiratory Disease Litigation, resided as a partner with Spicketts in Pontypridd and was appointed Senior Supervising Solicitor with Morgans in Cardiff.

Throughout 2007, he was engaged with the Policy and Strategy Group (PaSG) within the Welsh Assembly Government. James, drafted policy documents and briefed Assembly Ministers, the First Minister and the Deputy First Minister.

James has contributed and spoken on a number of matters on Welfare Law and has lectured and tutored law students at London, Cardiff and Swansea Universities.

James has experience of matters of Commercial Law, Criminal Law, Debt & Insolvency Law, Employment Law, General Litigation, Landlord & Tenant Law, Personal Injury Litigation, Welfare Law, Wills & Probate. He has successfully represented clients in the Civil and Criminal courts and Welfare and Employment Tribunals throughout the UK.
